A collection of photographs from this evening of my younger sisters abby and vivian playing in the new warm sunlight of the soon-coming summer. today has been the warmest day of the year so far. it is so wonderful to see green grass and blue skies. a part of me regrets not taking enough photographs of the snow and the magic it made. but it is a new season, and i think i might start a new three hundred and sixty five project the last day of school.

Roots in the Air

Yesterday Anna and I went for a walk after school by the place where students go to do drugs and other things, and it was so lovely. Spring was rising up everywhere and the trees made canopies over beds of leaves and slowly blooming flowers. We walked and walked until we had piles of sand in our shoes as we climbed up hills and around and under trees and their branches. There were these clusters of branches hanging off of a tree that looked like birdhouses or some kind of Jim Henson creatures. Everything was glistening in the evening white sunlight setting over a tall hill. We ventured up the hill to find the sandpits, where mountains of sand and polished white pebbles rose over a valley-like location. We climbed a smaller hill and slid down, leaving huge feet marks in the mud below the rocks. we ran away laughing like in the movies. It was a perfect day. Love.

In the Winter We Burn

It feels nice to be able to take photos again. It's nice to be able to go outside without layers upon layers and to be able to move around to get better shots. Anna and I spent the night burning incense and just talking. Spending the next morning taking photos. Since spring is here, I think I need to do many more shoots than I did last year, now that I know how to work my camera better. We took many film shots during the shoot too, so when we find a place to develop them they will be scanned and posted, along with many more film photos I have taken over the past year. Love.

Weekends

Helping one of my younger sisters paint. We're painting all of our upstairs so I've kept busy downstairs making collages and pencil drawings. Have some shoos planned out for the near future and my film is almost finished!
